La Tapatia Restaurant Wins La Comunidad Hispana Salsa Competition

La Tapatia Restaurant in Kennett Square out-spiced seven other local restaurants to win  the salsa competition during the 4th annual La Comunidad Hispana ¡Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® event on Sept. 27 Anson B. Nixon Park.

La Tapatia  Restaurant came out on top over El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant, La Peña Mexicana, Plaza Azteca, El Campamento, Red Sombrero, Taste of Puebla and El Rinconsito.  The salsa competition took plac eat the health and wellness fair.  In all, about 1,850 people attended the Get Up! event.

“We thank the restaurants for their support of our event,” said Margarita Garay Zarco, LCH’s education and workforce development coordinator. “Not only did they donate their salsa, they are also donated gift cards for our raffle prizes. The salsa competition is a fun event that involves the whole family.”

La Comunidad Hispana was established in 1973 as a community-based non-profit organization to help low income residents of southern Chester County to stay healthy, build strong families and lead productive lives by providing high-quality, culturally welcoming services.
