Downingtown Main Street Association Names Two Board Members

The Downingtown Main Street Association has elected Bruce Moroney, Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of DNB First and Chester County author Bruce Mowday to its board of directors.

Moroney has been employed by DNB First for 22 years and is a current board member of Calvary Fellowship Church’s Global Outreach Committee and advisory board member of Help The Children Charity. He is a trustee of the Kerr Park Foundation and former president of the Downingtown Good Neighbor Day and a committee member for 30 years. Moroney also served as a former advisory board member for Bishop Shanahan High School and Chester County’s Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

Mowday is President of the Mowday Group, Inc., a media relations firm in Downingtown. He is an author with more than 15 books published on true crime, business, sports and history, including the Arcadia book Downingtown. Mowday is a board member of the Chester County Conference and Visitors Bureau and a former board member and president of both the Chester County Historical Society and the Brandywine Battlefield Park Associates.

Downingtown Main Street Association was incorporated in 1993 with the purpose of enhancing the borough by bringing citizens, residents, property owners, business owners, and the private sector together to build a bright future.
