Chester County Day Serves As Time Machine To Historic Era
Chester County’s once-a-year time machine will take residents and visitors back to an era when fox hunts, water-powered mills, tenant houses, cottage gardens, one-room schoolhouses, covered bridges and homestead mansions were commonplace sights across the Pennsylvania countryside.
The 74-year-old tradition of Chester County Day arrives Oct. 4 with historic tours of restored homes, national landmarks and beautiful vistas in Chester Springs, Kimberton, Charlestown, Phoenixville and Pottstown, according to a preview article in Nassau News Live.
The attraction benefits the Chester County Hospital Women’s Auxiliary.
