After bankruptcy and being sold off a second time in the past decade one year ago, an Exton envelope manufacturing plant now in the hands of Cenveo is handing out pink slips this month to more than 100 local employees.

Before Cenveo, neither National Envelope Co. nor Atlantic Envelope had been able to resist the plight of a waning paper industry, according to news reported by the Philadelphia Business Journal, which was tipped off to the 108 layoffs by a mandatory Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification issued to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
