Arthur Goldman’s Misdemeanor Puts His Entire Wine Collection At Risk
An extensive collection of nearly 2,500 bottles of high-end wine could be dumped down the drain over a Chester County man’s misdemeanor crime, and the possibility is simply “horrifying” to the state’s wine society president, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.
The Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement is in possession of the wine after busting lawyer Arthur Goldman for illegally selling four bottles from his cellar.
“We feel we’ve met our burden that all bottles were open for potential sale,” Sgt. Dan Steele said in the article.
Goldman, however, is fighting to get the wine back, even if it means some is auctioned off for charity as a compromise.
