Coatesville Farmers Market Is On The Brandywine Hospital Campus Each Wednesday
Shoppers are buzzing about the fresh fruits, vegetables and artisanal foods they are finding at the Coatesville Farmers Market, which this year is open from 2 to 6 p.m. each Wednesday on the Brandywine Hospital campus.
Right now it’s zucchini season, the time when creative minds come up with ideas about what to do with what might be summer’s most prolific vegetable. Market organizers have decided to host a Zucchini Festival on Wednesday, July 30.
Bring the kids as they’ll have the chance to make cars out of zucchinis and race them for fun. There will be opportunities to win market prizes, and pick up unusual zucchini recipes.
There are regular farms and shops frequenting the market, and some make special appearances. Check the market’s Facebook page for weekly details and events.
Some of the regular farmers and vendors are Mistress of Spice, Vollmecke Orchards, J. Rodgers Photography, Smith’s Produce, Maile Specialty Sausage, Black Walnut Winery, Sunset Park Bakery (gluten free), Sweet Salvation Truffles and Taste of Puebla.
The hospital campus is at 201 Reeceville Road, Coatesville.
