Fibrocell advised the Securities and Exchange Commission about needing “additional time necessary to address a non-cash, non-operating issue related to its historical accounting treatment of warrants” discovered through an internal audit ordered by management, according to a report in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Along with the late filing of its first quarter report, the company announced it will restate its financial documents for the previous periods as well.
