Open Table, a leading source for online restaurant reservations and reviews, has given a 2014 Diner’s Choice award to one local restaurant, Styer’s Terrain Garden Café in Glen Mills, naming it one of the top 100 best restaurants for brunch in America.

The café is the only local restaurant to receive the distinction from Open Table, which checks up on 19,000 restaurants in all 50 states.

The café specializes in American contemporary cuisine prepared under executive Chef Keith Rudolph. Rudolph selects seasonal local organic produce, meats and dairy products such as local cheeses. Casual dining is in a charming antique greenhouse in a horticultural setting near the feast-for-the-eyes Terrain garden shop. Entrees are $30 and under.

The closest local restaurants to receive a ‘best brunch’ endorsement from Open Table are The Valley Green Inn in Chestnut Hill, Beau Monde in Philadelphia, and Deerfield Restaurant in Newark, De. The restaurants were selected for serving inspired twists on brunch classics.

“This year’s winning restaurants have recognized that brunch has become a national pastime for diners across America,” said Caroline Potter, Open Table chief dining officer.

The Diners’ Choice Awards for the Top 100 Best Restaurants for Brunch in America are generated from more than 5 million restaurant reviews collected from verified Open Table diners between April 1, 2013, and March 31, 2014. All restaurants with a minimum number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration. Qualifying restaurants were then sorted according to a score calculated from each restaurant’s average rating in the “brunch” category along with a minimum “overall” rating.
