Firms Operating Diesel Fleets May Apply For State Clean Diesel Grant Money

By

If your firm operates a diesel fleet, you may be eligible to apply for a grant to help you lower emissions through the Pennsylvania State Clean Diesel Grant Program.

But hurry – the deadline to apply is June 10.

Corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, school districts, municipal authorities, political subdivisions, state agencies, nonprofit entities and school districts are eligible to apply. The program funds projects that lower emissions.

Since the program began in 2008, DEP has awarded more than $1.9 million in grants, funded through an annual allocation from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s state clean diesel program.

“Ensuring the quality of our air is one of DEP’s most important missions,” Christopher Abruzzo, DEP secretary said. “These grants create opportunities for emissions reductions, helping Pennsylvania achieve cleaner air.”

To apply for a grant or for information, see www.dep.state.pa.us, keyword “Clean Diesel.”
