Those interested in supporting the benevolent care fund at Jenners Pond Retirement Community in West Grove are invited to the 12th annual Jenners Pond Golf Classic.

This year’s event, sponsored by Star Roses of West Grove, is set for Thursday, June 5, at Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, De. A portion of the Golf Classic package is tax deductible.

“The Benevolent Care Fund was established to assist Jenner’s Pond residents who may experience financial need due to circumstances beyond their control,” said Linda Wilmot, executive director of Jenners Pond.

Golfers will be able to enjoy cocktails, a reception at the golf club, and silent and live auctions.

Jenners Pond is a nonprofit retirement community on an 88-acre campus in Jennersville. The campus boasts of walking trails, an outdoor patio, art studios, a computer center and libraries. Its community center has four varied dining venues ranging from a pub to fine dining.

The continuing care retirement community offers services designed to support wellness and independence throughout retirement. Its health and wellness services include assisted living, Alzheimer’s care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation services and long-term care.

Jenner’s Pond is located at 2000 Greenbriar Lane, West Grove. It is one of five retirement communities owned by Simpson Senior Services based in Bala Cynwyd.

Star Roses are the famous beauties grown by the Conard-Pyle Corporation, whose corporate office is at 25 Lewis Road in West Grove. The firm had beginings in 1897 as a rose grower with a retail mail-order business. Although its Peace, Drift and Knock Out roses are not sold from West Grove, they are sold at retail garden shops throughout the country.
