SEMI-GAS Systems based in Malvern, a leading provider of ultra-high purity gas delivery equipment, announced that Princeton University has selected its Centurion™ gas source and Nanoturion™ distribution systems for the university’s new Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment (ACEE) pictured above.

The equipment will support the facility’s new labs and clean rooms. Applied Energy Systems, Inc. manufactures high-purity gas handling equipment for the semiconductor and related technology markets and is the parent company of the SEMI-GAS Systems Division.

The university’s 129,000-square-foot center will provide a complex of new laboratory, office and lecture space for research and education in sustainable energy development, energy conservation, and environmental protection. Those who work in the center are focused on translating knowledge into practical solutions to enable sustainable energy production and protection from global climate change.

The new laboratory will utilize 10 Centurion automatic gas cabinets, 30 Centurion wall mount systems, 11 Nanoturion valve manifold boxes, and 85 Nanoturion valve manifold panels designed for the delivery of ultra-high purity gases. SEMI-GAS will also provide equipment commissioning, personnel training and general support for the facility start-up.

“We are proud to collaborate with Princeton University in the advancement of new energy and environment technologies,” Jim Murphy, SEMI-GAS division manager, said in a company news release. “We are confident that the completed Andlinger Center will set a new standard for excellence in research and education.”

The Andlinger Center is scheduled to be completed during the summer of 2015. It is part of Princeton’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and collaborates with both the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the School of Architecture.
