Berwyn School Fight
In the 1930s, Black families in Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships, Pennsylvania, opposed school segregation by suing the districts and boycotting classes.
Their two-year protest, known as the Berwyn School Fight, led to reintegration in 1934, marking an early civil rights victory before the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision.
