Artificial intelligence is quickly reshaping how businesses operate, and a Montgomery County financial services company is investing in the technology to modernize its operations.
Oaks-based SEI announced a new collaboration with IBM. The venture will expand the use of artificial intelligence and automation throughout the company. It will streamline internal workflows, improve efficiency and enhance the experience for SEI’s clients.
Through the partnership, IBM Consulting will conduct a comprehensive review of SEI’s existing systems and business processes. The goal is to identify opportunities where automation and “agentic AI” can help modernize how work gets done.
By automating routine and repetitive work, SEI expects employees will be able to spend more time on higher-value responsibilities such as building relationships with clients and developing new services.
“As SEI enters its next phase of growth, investing in how we operate is just as critical as investing in what we deliver,” said Sean Denham.
The initiative will also rely on IBM’s Enterprise Advantage platform, which helps organizations analyze data and optimize processes. SEI leaders say the effort will strengthen decision-making and position the company for long-term growth.
