Visitors to Longwood Gardens already have a more flexible way to experience one of Chester County’s most beloved attractions—by day and by night, all on the same ticket.
The Gardens by Day & Night ticket option was introduced last year, giving guests the ability to enjoy the Gardens in two distinct moods, from bright daytime blooms to the illuminated beauty of evening.
“We introduced the Gardens by Day & Night option,” a Longwood Gardens spokesperson said, “to give guests more flexibility, allowing guests to leave and then return later in the evening to continue their visit.”
What Is the Gardens by Day & Night Ticket?
The new ticket allows visitors to enter Longwood Gardens twice in a single day, once during the daytime and again later in the evening.
For an additional $6 per ticket, guests receive date-specific, un-timed entry, a notable departure from Longwood’s traditional timed-entry system.
That flexibility means visitors can explore the Gardens in full daylight, leave to enjoy dinner or in nearby Kennett Square, and then return later to experience illuminated landscapes or fountain performances.
When Is It Available?
The Gardens by Day & Night ticket will be offered Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from March 27 through October 25, 2026.
Blackout dates apply, and quantities are limited, so advance planning is encouraged, especially during peak spring and summer weekends.
Why Longwood Added This Option
For years, timed ticketing has helped Longwood manage crowds and preserve the visitor experience, but it also meant that guests could not leave and re-enter later the same day. As evening programming, illuminated gardens, and nighttime events have grown in popularity, so has demand for a more flexible visit.
This new ticket bridges that gap, allowing guests to enjoy two distinct experiences, daytime color and nighttime atmosphere, without purchasing a second full admission.
Why It Matters for Visitors
The Gardens by Day & Night ticket option offers a simple but meaningful upgrade. It gives visitors more control over their schedules, more time to explore at a relaxed pace, and the chance to see Longwood in two entirely different moods in one visit.
As Longwood Gardens continues to expand its evening offerings, this new ticket option reflects a broader shift toward flexibility, convenience, and guest-centered experiences, making it easier than ever to enjoy the Gardens on your own terms, from sunlit paths to starlit strolls.
