The General Warren Inne’s history dates back to 1745. In 1746, the spot was renamed “The Sign of Admiral Warren” to honor war hero Sir Peter Warren.

The inn later became popular among German farmers and wagon travelers transporting goods from Lancaster to Philadelphia. Popularity continued to grow with the construction of the Philadelphia and Lancaster Turnpike.

Throughout the twentieth century, the inn saw multiple transformations in style and ambiance. In the 1960s, the space served as a more casual spot with a bar and pool tables.

The inn adapted to more fine dining alongside Malvern’s growth as a corporate and technological hub. Now known for its elevated dining experience, the General Warren Inne continues to honor its historic roots while providing timeless cuisine.

Fan-favorite dishes include the beef wellington, snapper turtle soup, crab cakes, and steak au poivre. Menu favorites also include lobster and grilled Scottish salmon.
