It’s back-to-school season for students of all ages, including the members of Widener University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, or OLLI.

OLLI will host an open house on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Widener’s Chester campus for the public to learn more about membership and all the exciting benefits that come with it. The open house is free to attend, and advanced registration is encouraged.

OLLI at Widener offers engaging, non-credit courses designed for adults age 50 and over. Courses cover a wide range of topics such as history, art, literature, current events, technology, wellness, and more. There’s something for every interest!

Attendees at the open house will explore OLLI’s diverse program offerings, meet with engaging and knowledgeable instructors, connect with fellow lifelong learners, and learn about OLLI’s special new member discount offer.

The event will take place in the University Center building Webb Room, and registration is available online. A campus map is also available online.

“OLLI is dedicated to giving lifelong learners the chance to keep growing not just by learning in the classroom but also by meeting new people and building connections with fellow members,” said OLLI Program Manager Natasha Brame.

Widener is one of more than 120 universities in the United States to have partnered with the Osher Foundation to provide learning opportunities and programming for older adults. OLLI membership is $40 and courses average around $40 per student.
