Malvern Prep ranked third in the region with an 8-2 record last season. The Friars are targeting their third Inter-Academic League championship in the upcoming season, which would be their fourth in five years.

Leading the charge will be linebacker Max Mohring, power back Ezekiel Bates, and senior quarterback Jackson Melconian, among others.

Downingtown West was seventh with a 13-2 record. The Whippets won the District 1 championship last season and advanced to the Class 6A state semifinals before losing to St. Joe’s Prep.

The team returns six starters, anchored by senior two-year starting quarterback Cole Bricker, senior tight end and defensive end TJ Sinkus, and wide receiver and defensive back JD Weller.

Coatesville, finishing with a 5-5 record last season, placed ninth in the region. The team brings back a wealth of talent, led by left guard Maxwell Hiller, a junior and one of the top-ranked offensive linemen in the nation, senior linebacker Terry Wiggins, and junior guard CJ Miller.
