Summer is a time of exploration, growth, and joy, but for many children, access to even the most basic camp supplies can be a challenge.
That’s why Partners in Outreach’s Summer Splash program continues to grow, ensuring that children attending subsidized camps across Chester County and surrounding areas can show up confident, included, and ready to participate — just like their peers.
One exciting new addition this year: goggles. Thanks to thoughtful feedback from our camp partners, Summer Splash now includes swim goggles in every customized camp bag. This simple but impactful change helps children participate fully in water activities, removing yet another barrier to inclusion. Whether swimming laps, learning to dive, or splashing with new friends, goggles help kids feel comfortable and confident.
Each Summer Splash bag also contains: a new swimsuit (sized to fit each child); a plush towel; a pair of flip-flops (sized to fit each child); a durable water bottle; and now — goggles!
In addition to individual bags, each participating camp receives a Literacy Library, stocked with exciting, age-appropriate books. These books support continued learning, spark imagination, and make reading part of the summer experience.
Partners in Outreach is proud to support a growing list of incredible camp and community partners, including:
- Home of the Sparrow

These partners are essential in connecting children with meaningful summer opportunities, and Summer Splash ensures they have what they need to thrive on the field, in the pool, and at every activity in between.
“Every detail in the bag is chosen with care,” said a Partners in Outreach spokesperson. “We’re listening to our partners, adapting to the needs of the children they serve, and ensuring every camper starts their summer with dignity, joy, and a sense of belonging.”
