Kim Gravel, a former Miss Georgia, became a QVC superstar after launching her first brand with the West Chester-based shopping network at age 46, writes Cindy Barth for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Seven years later, she became the first QVC talent to exceed $250 million in annual sales, contributing to over $1 billion in total retail revenue.
Gravel further expanded her growing empire last year after launching LWYA Home and Holiday, which generated over $5 million in sales within six months.
For her success, she was named QVC’s 2024 Vendor of the Year.
“Being named Vendor of the Year by QVC is one of the most meaningful milestones of my career,” said Gravel. “It’s a celebration of what’s possible when you lead with heart, stay rooted in purpose and believe in what you’re building, no matter when you start.”
Her advice to other women hoping to become entrepreneurs is quite simple.
“Stop exploring and start doing,” she said. “The power is in the decision to go forward as an entrepreneur, but women sometimes have a hard time just jumping in and saying yes.”
