Mike Lahiff, CEO of Conshohocken’s ZeroEyes, has been named a 2025 Greater Philadelphia Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young LLP, writes Donna Rovins for The Reporter.
ZeroEyes was founded by a team of former Navy SEALs and technologists. The team developed the first AI-powered gun detection platform to receive the Department of Homeland Security’s SAFETY Act Designation.
Its software layers onto existing security cameras and can identify firearms in real time. Once the software detects a weapon, it sends images within seconds to ZeroEyes’ in-house operations center. Veterans staff the center 24/7, trained to verify threats and dispatch alerts to law enforcement in as little as three seconds.
Lahiff says that ZeroEyes’ mission is “to save lives through immediate, intelligent action.”
ZeroEyes is not active in nearly every U.S. state, protecting thousands of buildings, from schools to military bases. Its growth and impact helped Lahiff stand out to the judges, which included past awardees and top business leaders. They assessed candidates on long-term value, growth, innovation, and purpose.
As a regional winner, Lahiff is now in the running for the EY National Entrepreneur of the Year Award, announced in November.
