Reconstruction of the new Target in West Goshen has been going along steadily for months, and is set to open later this year, writes Eric Henderson for PhillyBite Magazine.
It is occupying the former Kmart location at 985 Paoli Pike in the West Goshen Shopping Center, which closed in 2019. It’s an ideal location for residents of the area due to the fact that that nearby Targets are around 20 or more minutes away.
The transformation of the space into a Target store was first announced in October 2023. At the moment, identifying red signage has just been installed. Crews are working on the interior and exterior to get the location ready for the hopeful opening in summer 2025.
The new Target will reflect the company’s updated layout and full range of merchandise. Of course, it will same-day services like Drive Up and Order Pickup, and may include partnerships like Ulta or Apple to enhance the shopping experience.
Local officials are collaborating with the township to finalize new traffic patterns to accommodate the increased activity anticipated with the opening of the establishment.
