PAED Spotlight: Pottstown’s Hollywood Garage

Hollywood Garage blends old-school roots with modern repair under Nick Yannessa, continuing a family legacy in the heart of Pottstown.

For Nick Yannessa, running Hollywood Garage in Pottstown is more than a job — it’s a family tradition built on hard work, trust, and a deep love for the community.

Yannessa grew up around cars, helping his father, Mike, at the family’s shop as early as 12 years old. Mike first opened Mike’s Service Center in 1979, later evolving into Wheels In Motion, specializing in classic car restoration.

In 2009, Mike fulfilled his dream of owning a body shop by acquiring the former Dames Chevrolet Body Shop on High Street. That High Street address quickly became a centerpiece of Pottstown’s auto community.

In 2024, after his father retired, Yannessa helped usher in a new chapter by launching Hollywood Garage alongside cousins Josh and Jared Schmoyer and Gaege Sylvester. Together, they are steering the business toward the future — shifting focus from hot rods to modern collision repair and everyday auto services.

Despite the evolution, Nick remains deeply committed to the same blue-collar values his father taught him: honesty, quality work, and community care. “Every town needs a Hollywood Garage,” he says. “A trusted, family & locally owned place to take your vehicles.”

Nick credits Pottstown’s resilient spirit for inspiring his work. “If you live here and are part of the community, there’s no other place like it,” he says.

Today’s Hollywood Garage blends old-school heart with a modern, professional approach — offering clean facilities, cutting-edge tools, and a skilled team ready to meet today’s automotive needs.
