Finesse Current Fashion Trends with Timeless Pieces of the Past At These Philly Vintage Shops

With vintage clothes and accessories rising in popularity, Philly has many vintage stores that offer just what you may be looking for.

With vintage clothes and accessories rising in popularity, Philadelphia’s many vintage stores offer the perfect way to mix current fashion trends with timeless pieces of yesteryear, write Alex Tewfik and Kristen Schott for Philadelphia Magazine.

Moore Vintage Archive in Queen Village draws hobbyists from near and far with its curated collection, deeply rooted in fashion history and in immaculate condition, though priced to reflect their value. The pieces are rare and beautiful, such as an Hermès lambskin trench designed by Martin Margiela, costing $9,500.

Ace Outpost in Queen Village is a new vintage-boutique-meets-coffee-shop, where everything is for sale, including the furniture you sit on while enjoying your coffee.

At Forbidden Closet in Point Breeze, gems are aplenty. Find things like Eagles crewnecks, thick Woolrich sweaters, swishy windbreakers, and more.

A relative newcomer to the scene, Drats in Kensington is where to go for “entry-level vintage” as owner Jason Carroll calls it.

Stickball in Old City was named one of the best vintage menswear stores in America by GQ last year. Every item in owner Tim Jacobsen’s shop features a one-of-a-kind quirk, like a perfectly placed rip on the wrist of an Old Navy button-down that lets you check the time without pulling up your sleeve.
