Toll Brothers purchased an 8.6-acre property in Chalfont next to Wawa for $2.5 million, where it plans to develop 44 townhomes, writes Paul Schwedelson for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The Fort Washington-based company bought the property near the intersection of West Butler Avenue and County Line Road from CTP Management.
Each home will have three bedrooms, span 2,000 square feet, and feature a one- or two-car garage, along with additional parking space in the driveway.
The site faces the New Britain Village Square shopping center and sits near the county line dividing Bucks and Montgomery counties.
While the sale was only finalized recently, the luxury homebuilder has been working on the development plans for years. Toll Brothers and CTP Management originally agreed to the sale in September 2021.
Toll Brothers has been active in the Philadelphia region in recent years, as the shortage of housing and tight resale market created opportunities for the developer. Only recently has the company reported a slowdown in growth, with year-over-year sales going down by five percent in November, December, and January.
