Phoenixville resident Elaine Miller has earned well-deserved recognition for her hundreds of hours of volunteer service, writes Justin Heinze for Patch.
Over the past two years, Miller has contributed over 700 hours of service to Phoenixville Area Community Services (PACS), an organization combatting food insecurity in the community.
Miller won the PACS Lois Gould Volunteer of the Year award in 2024 for her hundreds of hours of service. More recently, she won the “Unsung Hero” award from PressurePerfect Massage, a Phoenixville business.
Now, in addition to offering Miller a free massage, PressurePerfect Massage is organizing a food donation drive in her honor.
Through May 15, in recognition of Miller’s contributions, the business will be collecting popular items on the PACS food donation list, including canned proteins, canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, boxed meals, and personal hygiene products. Donations can be dropped at Gateway Pharmacy Wellness Center at 165 Nutt Road in Phoenixville.
PressurePerfect Massage Co-owner Mark Liskey shared that Miller’s contributions represent the power of personal action and community collaboration.
“Elaine doesn’t just believe her actions matter—she proves it, every day,” said Liskey.
