
S&T Bank knows that a brighter tomorrow begins today and is excited to begin accepting applications for its Smart Start Scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, leadership, character, and contributions to both the school and community. The scholarship is available for college or vocational schools in the U.S. to students who have an S&T Smart Start Banking account. Awards are $2,500 for one year of full-time study and recipients may apply for up to three additional years. The deadline to apply is Mar. 31.
Applicants must:
- Have an S&T Bank Smart Start Banking account (minimum opening balance for Smart Start Banking account is $50).
- Be 24 years of age or younger.
- Be a high school senior or graduate.
- Plan to be enrolled or currently be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school located in the U.S.
- Enroll in the college, university, or vocational/technical school of their choice in the U.S. no later than the fall of the year in which the award is given.
- Provide completed application, official documentation of current grade point average (GPA), SAT/ACT scores (if applicable), and three letters of recommendation (without required documents, application will be disqualified).
All scholarships will be awarded without regard to race, sex, color, religion, ethnicity, or national origin.
Applications with all necessary documents must be submitted by Mar. 31. Winners will be notified no later than Jun. 2.
