One local ZIP code landed among the hottest housing markets in the Philadelphia region for the fourth quarter of 2024, according to Intercontinental Exchange data, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Intercontinental Exchange ranks places based on sales and pricing momentum in each market.
Elverson (19520) made the top ten of the list in ninth place, with an average list price of $549,985 and an average sale price of $526,116.
It is one of just three suburban ZIP codes to make the top ten, alongside Lafayette Hill (19444) in eighth place and Cheltenham (19012) in tenth place.
Unlike the fourth quarter of last year, when many ZIP codes recorded significant jumps in closed prices, January is showing signs of declaration in price growth.
The median sale price in the Philadelphia region rose 5.1 percent year-over-year in January to $357,250, marking the smallest growth since June 2023, according to Bright MLS.
