The University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Chester County Hospital in West Chester has once again found a place on Healthgrades’ list of the 50 best hospitals in the nation, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Chester County Hospital is one of three Philadelphia-area hospitals that have made the list this year.
Healthgrades, a Denver-based healthcare data company, compiles its annual rankings based on using an analysis of the clinical performance of more than 30 common procedures and conditions at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide. The analysis offers a list of the top 250 hospitals in the country.
This is the third consecutive year Chester County Hospital has made it onto this prestigious list.
“While there are several factors to consider when looking for a doctor, hospital quality is one that can have a critical impact on a patient’s overall quality of care,” said Dr. Brad Bowman, chief medical officer and head of data science at Healthgrades. “That’s why Healthgrades remains committed to helping patients find top-performing hospitals in their area.”
Meanwhile, Paoli Hospital made the list of the nation’s 250 best hospitals.
