This holiday season, the YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW) is showing gratitude with its ‘Tis the Season Membership Promotion, a heartfelt initiative to recognize and honor the contributions of healthcare workers, teachers, and first responders/public safety workers in strengthening our community.

On specific dates between Dec. 10-Dec. 28, YGBW invites these local heroes to save up to $99 on YGBW memberships to invest in their health, wellness, and sense of community.

“YGBW is devoted to strengthening community through programs that focus on Healthy Living, Youth Development, and Social Responsibility,” said Bertram L. Lawson II, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine. “There are many dedicated local heroes, including healthcare workers, teachers, and first responders, in our community who share our values and commitment, and we want to give back to those who give so much. This is one small we can say thank you.”

Upcoming promotion dates include:

  • Dec. 21: Teachers can save $99 on a YMCA membership.
  • Dec. 28: First Responders and Public Safety Professionals can save $99 on a YMCA membership.

Additionally, veterans can waive their join fee and save 10 percent off monthly membership dues any day of the year by visiting the Welcome Center at any YGBW branch.

Strengthening Community

YGBW is the largest non-profit devoted to strengthening community in Chester County. The organization serves more than 80,000 members of the community through membership, programs, and services designed to foster health, personal development, and inclusion for all. Memberships are income-based and financial assistance is available.

“Whether it’s teachers shaping the minds of our youth, healthcare workers caring for our loved ones, or first responders keeping us safe, these members of our community embody YGBW’s values of respect, caring, honesty, and responsibility,” stated Lawson. “We’re excited to offer them the gift of wellness this holiday season.”
