Kristin Costin, owner of The Jeweled Warrior boutique in Chester Springs, announced the store’s closure within the coming weeks, writes Donna Rovins for The Daily Local News.
Costin took to her Facebook page to share the news, citing personal health challenges, economic concerns, and shifts in the retail landscape as reasons for the closure.
The boutique, which opened in 2022, showcased sustainable art and products, with 75 percent of its offerings crafted by local artists using eco-friendly materials. It featured items such as fine jewelry, stained glass, woodworking, herbal products, and home decor.
A going-out-of-business sale began this week. All store inventory, along with fixtures and supplies, are being sold, with the process managed by Retail Sales Pro, a firm specializing in store closures.
“It was a privilege supporting local artists in our transformative gallery,” Costin said.
Despite the closure, Costin expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support artists and create a space for them. A final closing date has yet to be determined.
