Former CEO Launches Wayne-based Enginuity Rx, Integrated Provider of End-to-End Digital Care
Peter Miller, who stepped down as CEO of pharmaceutical company Optinose last January, came out of retirement this October to launch Wayne-based Enginuity Rx, an integrated, direct-to-consumer provider of end-to-end digital care, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Enginuity Rx partners with pharmaceutical companies to enhance direct patient engagement and retention by making it easier and more convenient for consumers to access prescription medications.
According to Miller, there is currently a significant drop-off between a consumer discovering a branded drug on a website and actually filling the prescription at a pharmacy. Reasons include the time to set up an appointment with a doctor and acquiring required insurance approvals.
The Enginuity Rx platform is specifically designed to address those challenges.
Set to go live in March, the platform allows consumers to connect immediately with a telehealth provider after finding a drug online they believe is right for them. If suitable, they will be directed to an online pharmacy, where their medication will be shipped directly to them after confirming insurance eligibility and co-payments.
“My goal is to do in hours, ideally minutes, what now takes days, weeks and months,” said Miller.
