Philadelphia is home to several Christmas-themed bars that create a self-contained world of holiday splendor, complete with elaborate decorations, a festive holiday soundtrack, cozy drinks, and delicious bites to match, writes Emily Kovach for PA Eats.
Tinsel is nestled inside a 100-year-old former jewelry shop in Midtown Village. This kitschy charming pop-up concept is open from late November through New Year’s Day. Here you can enjoy tasty drinks in themed glasses like Santa’s boots while surrounded by hundreds of ornaments and thousands of twinkly lights.
Craftsman Row Saloon is another festive pop-up in Jeweler’s Row. This popular holiday spot offers top-notch decorations, tons of lights, and delicious boozy offerings. The menu has an entire section dedicated to holiday cocktails, such as an Ugly Sweater Mulled Mule.
White Elephant is a self-described “pink disco Christmas bar” in the heart of Center City. The bar looks like a fun collaboration between Barbie and Mrs. Claus with miles of tinsel, multiple bubblegum-hued Christmas trees, and seemingly infinite twinkly lights. The menu offers 12 espresso martinis, including Crème Brûlée Espresso Martini.
Uptown Beer Garden in Center City has officially transitioned from a premier outdoor hang into a highly-spirited Christmas bar with holiday movie-inspired decor and cocktails.
