Montgomery County is home to six of the top ten hottest housing markets in the Philadelphia area, with Wynnewood coming in at number 2.

Five Montgomery County towns have been recognized among the hottest housing markets in the Philadelphia region, reports Joanne Drilling and Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The analysis emphasized ZIP codes with surging sales activity and rising prices rather than merely expensive or popular markets.

Wynnewood led Montgomery County, number 2 locally, with an impressive 27% year-over-year price increase, bringing the average sale price to $732,854. Wyncote followed closely at number 3, where prices rose 38% to an average of $507,027.

Plymouth Meeting secured number 5, experiencing a 32% increase in the average sale price to $642,013. Perkiomenville, ranked number 7 and saw its average sale price climb 26% to $482,050. Telford rounded out the county’s representation at number 8, with a 28% price increase to $515,747.

These Montgomery County towns reflect a broader trend of escalating home prices and brisk sales, underlining the region’s desirability. Their consistent growth signals robust demand and a thriving housing market, placing them among the standout areas in the Philadelphia region and beyond.
