Do you need help updating your LinkedIn profile, especially when persistently challenged with finding the time to focus, organize, and plan?

Do you suspect you have ADHD, or maybe you received a diagnosis later in life? You could be inattentive, hyperactive-compulsive, or a combination.

There has been an increase in ADHD diagnoses in adult women ages 23 to 49 from 2020 to 2022, according to Epic Research.

If you have ADHD, you have a different brain structure, according to Dr. Judith Joseph.

You might think you have been unmotivated, dumb, lazy, or misunderstood and are shaming yourself.

But you are probably very bright, have excellent problem-solving skills, are creative, and can laser-focus on tasks when you are “in the zone.”

You may have tended to be an overachiever in some ways to compensate for perceived areas of weakness.

Maybe you started doing some self-reflection and research and also wonder if you are autistic.

There are a few autism tests and checklists for adults (noted in this article) that you can check out before seeking a comprehensive evaluation from a psychiatrist, psychologist, primary care physician, or other qualified health professional.

Explore tools that help you with focus, information capture, prioritization, project management, routines, scheduling, task initiation, task completion, task planning, time management, time tracking, transitions, and more.

Fear not about getting your LinkedIn profile updated! Procrastinate no more!

Career coaches can help you, and you can also help yourself by breaking down tasks into smaller chunks.

You may need accommodations to succeed at work, so take the time to explore JAN – Job Accommodation Network.

Attend meetings to learn more from experts in their field.

Since December 3rd is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, come learn, network, and bring your questions to Viktoriya Selden who is speaking on Neurodivergence in the Workplace: Challenges, Disclosure, and Accommodations for Success.
