Wawa’s Fast Food-like Items Make it the Envy of All Who Do Not Have One Nearby
Wawa, the mega-popular Delaware County-based convenience store chain, is a source of envy for many who do not have one nearby, writes Stephanie Oliveira Nguyen for The Daily Meal.
Wawa offers some of the best fast food-like items around, both packaged meals and fresh-made hot and cold food made in-house. Its delicious sandwiches, milkshakes, coffee drinks, burgers, and mac-and-cheese bowls are tasty and filling, even if sometimes a bit unhealthy.
Considering that Wawa locations are open during usual convenience store hours, their yummy food is available at almost any time of the day or night, and, in some cases, 24/7.
Wawa also sells a staggering amount of famous foods invented in Pennsylvania, from Utz potato chips and Philly cheesesteaks to Philadelphia soft pretzels, and Tastykakes snack cakes, and so much more.
As a bonus, Wawa’s made-to-order hoagies are so good that they can go toe-to-toe with any popular sandwich shop.
The chain is currently primarily contained in the middle of the East Coast and Florida, but it is working on an expansion into Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, as well as potentially adding locations in several states in the South.
