With Halloween fast approaching, there are a number of family-friendly holiday activities for the whole family to enjoy, writes Gina Lizzo and Ben Silver for Main Line Today.
Colonial Gardens Children’s Night Hayride and Maze in Phoenixville is perfect for school age children who can handle a bit of spookiness. The hayride lasts for 20 minutes and tickets also include entry into the mazes. This activity runs from Oct. 21-31 from 7 PM – 8:30 PM.
Halloween Door Tour in Downtown West Chester lasts from Oct. 18-31. For those interested, signups are available at West Chester Public Library or online at their website. Vote for participating homes that have the scariest and most creative decorations.
West Chester Halloween Parade is on Oct. 23 at 7 PM. The parade will have live performances from the local marching band, cheerleaders, and dance teams. There are goodie bags available for the children.
Halloween Special on West Chester Railroad is a 90-minute scenic train ride, full of seasonal views. Treat bags are handed out to the kids and costumes are encouraged. The train ride is open on Oct. 26 and 27.
Kennett Square is having their Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 27, from 2 PM – 4 PM. Indulge in the spooky spirit with decorations, costumes, and goodies!
