DCCC is partnering with ReUp Education to support adult learners re-enrolling in college, providing personalized coaching and resources.

Over 40 million American adults have acquired college credits, but have no degree or credential, according to a 2023 report by the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center.

Many adult learners have the drive to re-enroll in college but need support as they navigate their return to higher education. To better champion this population of students, Delaware County Community College is partnering with ReUp Education, a leading tech-enabled provider empowering adult learners.

Since 2015, ReUp has been helping higher education institutions engage, enroll, and support adult learners. Leveraging patented technology and one-on-one personalized coaching services, ReUp’s approach will help DCCC reach learners who have previously put a pause on their education. This partnership will provide DCCC learners with specialized holistic support from ReUp that takes into consideration the key factors that impact a learner’s decision to re-enroll and their unique journey toward earning their degree.

As part of the partnership, ReUp will serve as an expert on adult learners for DCCC, offering institution-specific insights and strategic recommendations based on industry trends, millions of data points on adult learners, and direct learner feedback.

Returning students will be provided holistic support from ReUp as they navigate the re-enrollment process, become active students, and work to complete their degrees. Students will also have access to the College’s academic advisors to help them plan the next steps, navigate through questions they may have, and receive guidance and direction. This combination of resources is designed to set returning students up to thrive once re-enrolled at DCCC.

“Equity is not equality; it is removing barriers to make opportunities accessible for all, and our partnership with ReUp Education does just that,” said Gina Macklin, vice president of Recruitment and Enrollment Management at DCCC. “Returning students will receive personalized assistance and awareness of the available resources and services needed to mitigate the inequities that often derail academic success.”
