BTC Marketing Acquires NouSoma Communications to Form Region’s Leading Mid-Size Marketing Agency
Wayne-based BTC Marketing Communications, one of the Mid-Atlantic region’s leading full-service marketing agencies for more than 40 years, has acquired NouSoma Communications, a PR and marketing firm based in Haverford.
The move strengthens BTC’s media relations and content development teams, while expanding the graphic design, digital marketing, and social media services offered to NouSoma’s client base, according to Tom Cancelmo, CEO of BTC Marketing. NouSoma Communications was founded by Ellen Langas in 1995 and has been recognized as one of the region’s top full-service agencies.
Langas has assumed the role of Senior Vice President and media veteran Kristen Stewart now serves as Vice President at BTC.
“The cultural fit was perfect,” said Cancelmo. “Ellen and Kristen both bring deep knowledge and experience to our firm, which prides itself on delivering senior-level expertise and attention to every client engagement. The merge strengthens BTC’s position as one of the Mid-Atlantic’s top full-service agencies.”
Prior to founding NouSoma, Langas served as Vice President of Public Relations and Consumer Affairs at QVC and was an original program host. Stewart worked for 15 years in the broadcast industry, including CBS, CNN, NBC, and Comcast, prior to joining NouSoma, where she served in leadership roles for more than a decade.
“BTC is the ideal fit for NouSoma and our clients,” said Langas. “Collaborating enables us to expand the resources we provide to our clients and draw on the experience of BTC’s experienced marketing strategists. I have great respect for their mindset rooted in service leadership, and we look forward to growing together.”
