West Chester Native, MLB Outfielder Chas McCormick Marries Longtime Partner in Philadelphia
Love bells were ringing in Philadelphia last weekend when West Chester’s Chas McCormick of the MLB’s Houston Astros officially tied the knot with his longtime partner, Courtney Zadinski, writes Erin Clack for People.
The newlyweds held their wedding at the Ballroom at the Ben, blocks away from the Liberty Bell Center and Independence Hall in Center City.
For those unfamiliar with Philadelphia, movie fans may recognize the venue as a location for the 2012 film, Silver Linings Playbook, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
McCormick popped the question to Zadinski back in January 2023.
He was drafted by the Astros in 2017, and eventually made his Major League debut in 2021.
Over the years, Zadinski has praised her new husband for his talents.
“Chas has worked his butt off this MLB season and it shows! I constantly admire his dedication, focus, patience, resilience and talent. There is truly nothing better than to watch him live out his dream,” she wrote back in October.
“Now let’s move into our new home and have ourselves a wedding!” she added.
