CCOIC’s Benefit Concert, “Yellow Brick Road,” To Take Place at Uptown! Knauer Performing Art Center Nov. 1

To celebrate 45 years of service, Chester County Opportunities Industrialization Center, Inc. (CCOIC) is celebrating with a benefit concert, hosted by Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center (226 N. High Street, West Chester) as part of its Artful Impact on Nov. 1. A reception will take place from 5:30-7:15 PM, and the show begins at 7:30 PM.

The theme of the benefit concert is Elton John’sYellow Brick Road,” and features performer Gerald Brann, who bears an uncanny resemblance and similar performance mannerisms to John. Brann dresses in replica costumes and even wears John’s trademark outrageous glasses. A trained jazz pianist, Brann has been a lifelong Elton John fan, and his admiration for and love of his music comes shining through as he plays one hit after another with remarkable likeness to the pop music icon. Brann and his five-piece band evoke audience participation throughout the entire show — whether singing along to “Rocket Man” and “Your Song,” swaying to “Candle in the Win,” or hopping and bopping to “Crocodile Rock.”

Tickets are available online at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center.
