The Capital Grille marked the official opening of its doors at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

The high-end steakhouse is known for its dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood, as well as world-class wine lists.

“It’s good to be home,” said Warrington native Michael Callahan, the managing partner of the Capital Grille. “We are super excited about the opening today and we are looking forward to having our dining rooms full and delivering memorable experiences.”

The 200-seat location on Eagle Road in Newtown is the Capital Grille’s first restaurant in Bucks County and the fourth in Pennsylvania.

“There’s lots of demand for a higher end steakhouse,” said Callahan. “That’s why we’re here. Each location is tailor-made for the area.”

In celebration of the grand opening, Callahan and his executive chef presented a $10,000 check to the United Way of Bucks County.

Leaders of the Bucks County business community were also present for the ribbon cutting, including representatives from the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce and the Newtown Business Association.
