The Chester County Council, Boy Scouts of America are set to honor the 2024 BSA VISTA Leadership Megastars and are seeking sponsors for the awards reception.
Held on Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Council’s Program, Activity, and Resource Campus (PARC) in Exton, the prestigious event recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to the betterment of Chester County through their character, service, vision, courage, passion, and humility. These qualities not only highlight their personal achievements but also reflect the core values promoted by the Boy Scouts.
An initiative launched in 2021 with VISTA Today, BSA VISTA Leadership Megastars serves as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of these leaders who are shaping the future of the county. Each year, 12 individuals are selected as Megastars and share their journeys and insights with the community. This year’s honorees continue the tradition of excellence, embodying the spirit of leadership and service that the event aims to promote:
- Peter Urscheler, Mayor, Borough of Phoenixville
- Roberta Healey, Philanthropy Consultant, Aurora Philanthropic Consulting

The program’s success, sustainability, and growth hinges on generous support from sponsors. Sponsorships directly contribute to various Scouting programs that offer young people invaluable experiences to develop leadership skills, build character, and gain practical life skills.
Through activities such as camping, community service projects, and leadership training, Scouts learn to face challenges with confidence and resilience. The impact of these programs extends beyond the individual, fostering a generation of responsible and engaged citizens who contribute positively to their communities.
A sponsorship not only facilitates a celebration of the BSA VISTA Leadership Megastars but also underscores the importance of corporate social responsibility. By aligning with the values and mission of the Boy Scouts, sponsors are demonstrating their commitment to community development and youth empowerment.
