Newtown Township will soon welcome Eastern European-inspired restaurant and bakery Flourish Cafe's second location.

Newtown Township will soon welcome a new Eastern European-inspired restaurant and bakery, writes Jeff Werner for The Patch.

Flourish Cafe, known for its location at Village Shires Shopping Center in Northampton Township, is expanding to the Village at Newtown Shopping Center

The restaurant will occupy 3,210 square feet in the space next to the Capital Grille.

The township’s planning commission has unanimously recommended conditional use approval, with the board of supervisors expected to finalize the decision soon.

Flourish Cafe has earned a five-star reputation for its made-from-scratch Eastern European dishes.

The cafe’s extensive breakfast menu includes fresh fruit crepes, potato pancakes, waffles, oatmeal porridge, and syrniki (fried curd cheese pancakes).

Main courses feature salmon steak, mozzarella-stuffed chicken breast, and signature rigatoni, and stewed rabbit.

The BYOB cafe also offers a wide range of appetizers, soups, salads, and desserts. Flourish Cafe was born from the collaboration of a florist and a baker.
