Raising Cane’s is planning on opening twelve new restaurants in Greater Philadelphia over the next three-and-a-half years, and two will be in Montgomery County, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based chain has been rapidly expanding and has opened ten locations in the Philadelphia region since May 2022, with six more already in the pipeline.  It is now looking for other local areas where it could grow, according to regional vice president Warren Sewell.

The restaurant chain is best known for its combos. It serves chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and Texas toast, along with its popular Cane’s Sauce. Founded in 1996, Raising Cane’s has around 800 locations worldwide.

The two upcoming Montco restaurants are among the six already confirmed locations. They are expected to open at 2632 W. Moreland Road next to Willow Grove Mall and 860 Bethlehem Pike in North Wales before the end of the year.

The chain chose these locations to bring its brand closet to its clientele located further outside of Philadelphia.

“The customer base out there right now is traveling into the city, or to the closest location they can,” said Sewell.
