Shop & Dine Raffle Supports Kennett Library and Local Businesses
The Friends of Kennett Library has kicked off its 4th Annual Shop & Dine Raffle, with 31 chances to win $100 in gift certificates to local shops and restaurants.
“The beauty of this raffle is that the gift certificates are being purchased with funds donated by our generous sponsors,” said Annette Bowers, Vice-President of the Friends of Kennett Library. “Instead of asking for donations, we purchase gift certificates from our local restaurants and businesses. It’s a great way to support both the merchant community and the Library. A true win-win for everyone!”
Stop by the Kennett Library at 320 E. State Street in Kennett Square and purchase your raffle tickets. Sales launched on Jun. 21 and will run through the end of August. Purchase one ticket for $10; four for $30; eight for $50; and 20 for $100. Every day in August, the Library will draw a lucky winner of $100 in local gift certificates. With 31 days in August, there’ll be 31 chances to win! For a complete list of sponsors and participating businesses, visit Kennett Library.
All proceeds from the Friends Shop & Dine Raffle support Adult Literacy and Children’s programs at the Library. The Adult Literacy Program offers English as a Second Language (ESL), General Equivalency Diploma (GED), and preparation for American citizenship classes, as well as one-on-one tutoring. Kennett Library offers hundreds of Children’s programs each year, including English and Spanish story times.
The Friends of Kennett Library is a growing group of library lovers with a mission to support the Library through fundraising, volunteer services, and advocacy. Membership forms are available at the Library or on the website. Memberships are $20 and also support the Library and its programs.
Please call the Library at (610) 444-2702 with any questions about the Shop & Dine Raffle or the Friends group.
