If you are looking for a fun way to spend a day, take a driving tour of the grand old Main Line estates, writes County Lines Magazine. 

While many have been demolished over the years, those still standing are as majestic as ever. 

Start the tour at Grey Craig in Devon, designed in 1902 by renowned architect William Price. It was once a hunting lodge for James Patterson, of the Patterson Whiting Paper Company family. 

The next stop is Hilltop House in Devon. Once known as Idlewild Farm, the mansion was designed and constructed for chocolatier William Nelson Wilbur. 

Continue to The Willows in Villanova built in 1910 by noted architect Charles Barton Keen for John Sinnott, a wealthy distillery owner. 

Ardrossan in Villanova is perhaps the best-known Main Line mansion due to its connection to Helen Hope Scott, who inspired the 1940 film The Philadelphia Story.

Continue to Dolobran Estate in Haverford, built in 1891 and now part of Rosemont College. 

Wrap up the tour with Knollbrook, also known as Camelot, in Haverford. It is one of several estates on the Main Line that were once owned by the Pew family.
