Mia Ragazza in Manayunk is one of the top Italian restauarants in Philadelphia, and its goes beyond just its menu.

Mia Ragazza in Manayunk stands out as a restaurant that welcomes a taste of old-school Italian to the neighborhood’s dining scene, writes Ed Williams for Main Line Today.

The Italian restaurant is run by Mike MacCrory, Sean Coyle, Andy Pyfer, and Brendan McGrew, who bring with them a combined 50 years of industry experience.

“We looked at other restaurants on Main Street and felt that a higher-end Italian eatery was missing,” says McGrew. “We wanted to fill that void.”

At Mia Ragazza, guests can sample the vibrant green Margarita Verde, the classic Italian Old Fashioned, and the Tiramisu Espresso Martini, among several other crafted cocktails.

The menu features items like the short-rib pappardelle, chicken parmesan, fettuccine bolognese, pistachio gnocchi, eggplant rollatini, Roman-style pizzas, and more.

Its pasta dishes are handmade by executive chef Felipe Calixto

Mia Ragazza houses a candlelit dining room in the rear of the first floor with smoked mirrors, and a large fresco on the interior walls.

There is also a nearby private patio that is ideal for dining with friends.

The upstairs has a vibrant greenhouse-themed bar and dining area that is perfect for taking in the view of downtown Manayunk. Meanwhile, another small alfresco dining area with colorful murals and dangling Edison lights can also be found.
