The American Dairy Association North East has selected two content creators from Washington, D.C. as its first chief ice cream officers, and one of the first stops on their travels will be Chester Springs, writes Rita Giordano for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Maddie Smith and Mia Svirsky have won the coveted job that will take them all around Pennsylvania as they taste ice creams at 18 local creameries and share their experiences on social media.

The selling point was the pair’s mutual love of ice cream.

“Every time I go to a new place and when I travel, I love to try a new local ice cream shop,” said Smith.

Her favorite flavor is peanut butter Oreo, while Svirsky loves vanilla soft-serve in a cone.

“That is like my kryptonite,” said Svirsky.

The goal of their trip is to promote the many family-owned dairy farms in Pennsylvania. Both women have a sizable following on Instagram, where they will be covering their travels.

One of the early stops in their journey will be Chester Springs Creamery at Milky Way Farm in Chester Springs.
