A full-service marina is being planned for Northeast Philadelphia, with the first phase scheduled for 2026.

Dana and Ron Russikoff, founder of Rodan Enterprises LLC, are planning to develop a new marina and entertainment complex along the Delaware River in Northeast Philadelphia, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal

The full-service marina with restaurants and yacht club would be located near the Tacony and Mayfair neighborhoods.

The Russikoffs are well-versed in the boating world, as they founded SureShade, a company that makes retractable sunshade systems for boats throughout North America and Europe.

The duo recently acquired the 6-acre parcel that will house the project for $1.15 million, and will call it One River Marina.

Russikoff noted that the development will be both a place for the local community to enjoy and a “world-class destination” for boaters located between two other waterfront destinations along the river – Penn’s Landing to the south and Bristol Wharf to the north.

“This project checks every box for what is surely becoming a new age of ‘nautical tourism’ for the Delaware River – recreation, access and infrastructure development – for local residents and especially for boaters,” Russikoff said in a statement.

One River Marina is in the early stages of planning and will be completed in phases, with the first phase expected to be completed by the spring of 2026.
