$3.1 Million Villanova Estate Finds Buyer in Less Than a Week
A nearly century-old Villanova estate with a basketball court, golf green, soccer and lacrosse fields, and a koi pond listing for $3.1 million received an offer less than a week after it was listed, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.
The castle-like home on Tower Road includes eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms. It sits on 2.5 acres and comes with a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house.
The home was built in 1928 and is “truly a castle,” according to listing agent Karen Strid of the Karen Strid Team and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach.
The home received a cash offer, above the asking price with contingencies waved, Strid said.
The offer shows how competitive the Main Line luxury market is
The property is being sold by David Kelleher and Marlo Pagano-Kelleher, president of David Auto Group in Glen Mills and the founding member of Pagano Law Firm in Radnor.
“It’s a house that wraps itself around you and hugs you,” Kelleher said. “Even though it’s big and bold and gothic … it really is a house that you just fall in love with.”
